Careers with the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute

Are you interested in a career with the FWC's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute? Read on to learn how to find open positions.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, committed to a diverse workforce that reflects the labor market in Florida. We seek to fill positions with caring, qualified individuals who wish to dedicate their work to the goal of protecting, conserving, and managing Florida's marine and coastal resources.

The institute primarily recruits scientists and technicians in the field of marine research. Areas of research include but are not limited to commercial and recreational fisheries, corals, marine mammals, invertebrates, fish disease, habitat, and harmful algal blooms. In support of research, we also staff positions requiring highly technical knowledge and skills in the area of information systems and scientific data management. Although technical in nature, many of these positions also require a background in one of the physical or natural sciences. In addition to the scientific and technical positions, the everyday administration and maintenance of the facility requires the expertise of qualified clerical, administrative, and maintenance staff.

For more information on open positions with the FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, please visit our Careers page. This page is updated as positions become available. At this time, we do not offer a mailing list with notification of new positions.
