How do I cite FWRI Web site information in my bibliography?
While the general recommended format for citing information from the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute’s Web site is listed below, there may be an alternative citation format listed in the text of the article. Remember to check with your professor or publisher; he or she may have different source documentation requirements.

*If an author’s name is not immediately available on an article, enter the article title in the Web site search function. The search will display all related articles as well as the name of the individual author or section responsible for the articles. Why are some of the common fish and wildlife names capitalized while others are lowercase?
Over time, each scientific discipline developed its own language conventions. On this site, the language differences are most obvious in the spelling of common names. Biologists do not capitalize the common names of fish, but the common names of birds are capitalized.
