The Nongame Wildlife Grants Program (NWGP) is currently accepting applications for the FY 2008-09 General Grants funding cycle. The submission deadline is November 26, 2007 for projects that will begin July 1, 2008.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recognizes that Florida has many scientists, resource managers and educators with extensive experience and skills in nongame wildlife research, management and education. Guidelines have been established to assist in preparing and submitting proposals to undertake projects that support nongame wildlife management and conservation.

All applicants and potential grant recipients must be prequalified to receive a grant award. The program maintains a database of reviewers serving as experts on the subject–matter.
