Web Mapping
Web Mapping Services are online mapping tools designed to allow users to view spatially referenced data, create customized queries, design printable maps, and download GIS layers for use within a desktop GIS. FWRI's Web-based GIS technologies allow efficient viewing and sharing of GIS data via the Internet in support of efforts to conserve and manage habitats important to fish and wildlife. Users can develop custom queries, view Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) compliant metadata, create printable maps, and download data directly through the Web-based interface.

Categories
This section contains descriptions and links to Internet Mapping sites. Many of these are project-specific. Some, like the Marine Resources GIS site, offer data download capability. Others, like the Coastal Resource Information System site, have links to boat ramp and beach access photos.

Quick Maps are Google Earth files that contain FWRI data layers. We have collected the data that are the most requested from the public and publish these files here.
