Celebrate the critically endangered North Atlantic right whales’ annual return to the coastal waters of the Southeast U.S. This one-day family-oriented festival will feature children’s activities, food, music, a beach cleanup, a beach run and much more! All activities will be geared towards informing and inspiring the community about right whales, their habitat, and their conservation needs.

Festival displays will include a life-size blow-up right whale calf, real whale bones and baleen, and a steel drums activity section. Kids can also earn a prize by visiting various educational booths, collecting stamps, and completing their Right Whale Passport (available for pick-up at the festival while supplies last).

FWC staff will be at the festival to talk about right whale biology, the FWC’s right whale monitoring and disentanglement program, the importance of Florida as part of the right whales’ only known calving area, as well as to answer any questions you may have.

Location:
Sea Walk Pavilion Jacksonville Beach, FL
The festival is oceanfront in downtown Jacksonville Beach (East of A1A, between Beach Blvd and 1st Ave N)
