Nongame Wildlife Grants Program
The Nongame Wildlife Grants Program provides funding for research, management, and education projects that benefit Florida’s nongame wildlife species. General grants are awarded in broadly defined areas. When specific information is required, the Commission issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or awards targeted grants to prequalified recipients. To register with the program for prequalification or to receive RFPs, complete and submit the RFP Vendor and Prequalification Form or contact us for more information.

The Nongame Wildlife Grants Program (NWGP) is currently accepting applications for the FY 2008-09 General Grants funding cycle. The submission deadline is November 26, 2007 for projects that will begin July 1, 2008.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recognizes that Florida has many scientists, resource managers and educators with extensive experience and skills in nongame wildlife research, management and education. Guidelines have been established to assist in preparing and submitting proposals to undertake projects that support nongame wildlife management and conservation.

All applicants and potential grant recipients must be prequalified to receive a grant award. The program maintains a database of reviewers serving as experts on the subject–matter. They assist with the initial review of proposals submitted to the program. The following information, links, and forms are provided to help interested parties complete the registration process.
