Florida is the Fishing Capital of the World
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is asking for your help. We are conducting a survey to collect information about the trends and preferences of saltwater fishermen in Florida. Over 100 marine species are targeted by fishermen on a regular basis, and some of these species are unique only to Florida. We know fishermen are often the first to recognize changes that occur to our resources; therefore, receiving immediate feedback from fishermen is one of the most accurate methods of assessing fish populations. Filling out the short survey below will allow us to better understand the dynamics of recreational fishing in Florida and more effectively gather information on selected recreational fisheries. In addition to the questions below, we are requesting contact information from fishermen interested in participating in future catch-and-effort surveys and becoming involved in Florida's fishery management process.
